The Weight Loss Challenge

Because women our age face challenges that are completely unique from any other age or gender group, diet programs designed for younger or masculine groups simply don't work. As mid-aged women, we gain and lose weight far differently than a 25-year-old man—or a 20-year-old woman for that matter. Most programs don't take this into account. It's not enough to simply cut calories. While our caloric requirements have dropped, our need for certain vitamins and minerals has increased.
